Syeda Momina Masood is doing her PhD from University of Pittsburgh, USA. She is also a writer at the Institute of English Studies. Her research interests include Asian cinema cultures, film history, postcolonial studies, and gender and queer studies. Her academic work has appeared and/or is forthcoming in BioScope, Feminist Review, Pakistani Desires (Duke UP), and Globat Cult Cinemas (Bloomsbury), while her essays have been published in Kohl, DAWN, minor literature[s] among others, and have been anthologized in several print collections. Her poetry is published in Numéro Cinq, 3:AM Magazine, The Missing Slate, The Bombay Review and The Bombay Literary Magazine.
